Dress Code for Classes:
FUN Days: Wednesday – Wacky Sock day Thursday – Wacky hair day Friday – Wacky Favorite Shirt Day, (example Tie dyed or weird colored or favorite college or sport shirt) Friday night all campers will perform at the Gonzales Festival - using routines they've learned at camp. Students attending any National competition will have practice time in gym on Wednesday and Thursday. Will be supervised by coaches. |

For all levels of twirlers to develop new tricks and techniques to help achieve the next level of baton twirling. For novice to super advanced.

Bring your own music if you want to have a custom designed routine that meets team's skill and ability. Teacher will have 1 on 1 time with groups of 4 or more twirlers.

To perform at all Nationals. BUILD ENDURANCE!! Help with all routines! Discuss nutrition and develop mind set when performing on the competition floor.

Classes Offered
NoviceFirst TIme & Novice Rolls
First Time 2-Baton (must have 2 batons)- will learn the basic fundamentals for shows and competitions. Basic Strut, Parade Majorette & Military Strut- The importance of Finding the beat & timing while executing good posture with proper knee and toe point. X-Strut- Learning a new routine Contact Material- A variety of low skills that includes flips, finger twirls & other connecting tricks Body Movement-Pirouettes & Leaps- Proper technique |
BeginnerRolls- Learn new rolls and how to connect to other variety of rolls.
2-Baton- (need to know basic 2 baton) teaching new tricks to put in routines. 3-Baton-First time and those without a 3 baton routine Tricks- Learning high and low solo tricks to be used in various routines X-Strut- Learning new series of material that can be added to an existing routine Contact Material- A variety of low skills that includes flips, finger twirls & other connecting tricks adding difficulty to routine. Body Movement-Pirouettes & Leaps- Proper technique |
IntermediateTricks-Learning high and low solo tricks to be used in various routines
Roll- (must be able to do fishtais & three elbow rolls) Learn new intermediate rolls and how to connect to other variety of rolls. 2-baton- Learning new skills to use in field, show twirls or competitive routine 3- baton- (must know basic fundamentals of 3 baton) Learn new tricks for competition, shows and field work X-Strut Material- Learning new series of material that that can be added to an existing routine Contact Movement- A variety of low material that includes flips, finger twirls & other connecting tricks adding difficulty to routine Pirouettes, Leaps, and more |
AdvancedTwirls- learning advanced tricks to put in various routine
Rolls- (must be able to do back rolls & continuous elbow rolls) Learn new advanced rolls and how to connect to other variety of rolls 2-Baton- material to place in existing routine- learning more complex material 3 & 4 Baton- Material for competition and field work x Strut Material- perfecting techniques within your routine and learn difficult moves Contact Movement- A variety of low material that includes flips, finger twirls & other connecting tricks adding difficulty to routine Pirouettes, Leaps, and more |
National TrainingFor athletes that are participating in a national championship.
Open to all levels Novice-Advanced. Required to work hard, must be dedicated to the practice of achievement. Athletes will be part of a strict national all day training program to help prepare for upcoming national championships (USTA, AYOP, etc). Athletes will be training on all aspects of baton twirling from techniques, modeling, strut, solo, 2-3 baton, dance twirl, freestyle, and other events that the individual will be competing in.
There will be no changing of routines. it is to help build consistency,confidence, and endurance in the individual. Athletes are expected to come prepared and ready to work at an intense level. |
